This portfolio showcases a selection of projects that reflect my identity as a young designer — from couture techniques and conceptual research to material experimentation.
Each piece represents a dialogue between structure and softness, tradition and innovation.
“Rebirth of a Classic” – The Little Black Dress
Starting from the timeless base of a classic black sheath dress, I reinterpreted the concept through sustainability and couture craftsmanship. Using fabric recycled from a discarded skirt with red light accents, I created soft, hand-shaped forms secured with traditional haute couture stitches and covered corset boning. The piece embodies the idea of giving new life to a forgotten garment — transforming it into something modern, beautiful, and emotionally renewed.
“Migrazioni” – Cultural Identity & Inner Transformation
Part of the Academy’s 2023/24 collection Migrations, this look explores the personal and spiritual journeys we carry within us. The oversized bomber acts as a soft protective armor — the outer shell we show to the world — while the semi-transparent dress beneath, adorned with lotus flowers, symbolizes rebirth and the unveiling of one’s true essence. Only the skirt emerges from under the bomber, hinting at the intimate self ready to surface beyond the comfort of its shield.
Entirely handcrafted using refined materials and couture techniques, this ensemble represents a high-fashion interpretation of identity, vulnerability, and transformation. After its debut at the July 14th, 2024 runway in Piazza del Campidoglio, part of the “Ensemble 2024” event organized by the City of Rome, the outfit gained significant recognition. It was subsequently showcased in three additional events:
The “PolioArt – World Polio Day 2024” fashion show at Palazzo Merulana on October 24th, 2024;
An exhibition at Coin Excelsior on Via Cola di Rienzo in Rome from January to April 2025, where it was also displayed in the store’s main window;
And finally, the “Forma Moda Roma” event hosted by Roma Capitale, where it was featured at the Nuvola di Fuksas on March 21st and 22nd, 2025.
